It seems like most of the world will be opening back up soon with COVID restrictions being lifted, and I couldn't be more excited. If travel is on your list of things to do this summer, I'm here to bring you some budget minded tips to enjoy your travel without hurting your bank account.
- Set a budget up front—Look over your budget and savings and plan your travel around available funds. Have you ever taken a great trip and came home to a mound of credit card debt that erased your great memories? I have, and I don't want you to have the same regret.
- Consider a StayCation—After you've figured out how much you want to spend, consider staying local. Maybe even stay at a hotel to make it seem more like a real vacation. Check out local museums and places of interest.
- AirBNB or VRBO—Have you checked out all of the great options on both of these sites? If you're considering an out of town vacation, these are great options. Most places have a full kitchen to allow you to make meals in your room while keeping the budget in check.
